About Me

✨ Hey! I'm Leslie Moranta, a third-year PhD student in Astrophysics at Université de Montréal, in collaboration with the Trottier Institute of Research on Exoplanets (IREx), the Montreal Planetarium, and the American Museum of Natural History, in New York City. My work explores how young stars evolve and how exoplanets emerge around them.

📚 Alongside my research, I help bring science to the public through live events and community outreach, including leadership roles in local astronomy programs.

🏃🏻‍♀️ When I’m not studying stars, I’m usually training for middle- and long-distance races, with the goal of competing at the varsity level in cross-country and track & field.
